The ASICS SONICBLAST running shoe is built for days when you want your training runs to feel like race rehearsals, combining super-shoe style cushioning with the durability of a daily trainer.
A dual-layer midsole stacks responsive FF TURBO² foam over a thicker bed of FF BLAST MAX to create a deeply cushioned yet springy platform that feels lively at uptempo paces.
Sandwiched between these foams, the ASTROPLATE propulsion plate adds snap to your toe-off without the harsh, rigid feel of a pure carbon plate, making the shoe more forgiving across different workouts.
Up top, a light engineered mesh with flat laces and padded heel collar secures the foot while offering strong breathability and all-round comfort for longer sessions.
Underneath, ASICSGRIP rubber and an aggressive rocker geometry work together to enhance traction and forward roll, so each stride feels smooth, fast and confident for every run.
FF BLAST MAX cushioning: Lower midsole layer made from FF BLAST MAX foam, providing a thick, supportive and energetic cushioning base.
FF TURBO² cushioning: Top midsole layer using FF TURBO² aliphatic TPU foam, delivering very high energy return, low weight and strong durability, creating a firmer, more responsive feel.
ASTROPLATE propulsion mechanism: Pebax ASTROPLATE plate embedded between the two foams adds forward pop and rigidity in the right areas.
ASICSGRIP rubber outsole: High-traction ASICSGRIP compound on the outsole delivers excellent grip in dry and wet conditions.
Engineered mesh upper: Lightweight, breathable engineered mesh upper with visible perforations and good airflow around the toe box and tongue, designed to keep feet cooler during intense, faster sessions.
