When you take a chain off for a clean, you shouldn't need a chain tool. The KMC MissingLink 9R is a reusable metal quick release connector for 9 speed chains, with a 6.6mm pin length and a non directional build that goes in either way round. Four pieces come in the pack, making up two complete connector sets.
